Stokenchurch Cricket Club has a thriving colts section, providing qualified coaching from ages 7 to 17
Coaching is provided by eight ECB qualified and CRB checked coaches and members of the
ECB Coaches Association
We pride ourselves on being a child friendly club and are currently in the process of gaining the
Clubmark certification.
It may sometime seem like we ask for lots of information and paperwork but this is all part of the
Clubmark process and conforming with
the ECB child guidelines contained in the document "SafeHands".
Coaching sessions for all age groups are held on a Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm from the start of May until the end of August
the bar is always open during coaching and you are welcome to stay and have a drink or leave and collect your children when we have finished.
We have a club Welfare Officer and qualified First Aiders are always present at coaching sessions
For the younger players the emphasis is on fun and we play with a soft ball, boys and girls are equally welcome. The older players progress to hard ball cricket
and soon find themselves in matches
All equipment is provided and we just ask that players come suitably attired
In 2007, with generous help from the Parish Council we purchased a bowling machine and this is used together with our all weather and mobile pitch net
to provide some dedicated coaching for the older age groups
This summer, as in previous years we have entered 4 teams in the county age group competitions; U10, U12, U14 and U17 - In 2007 the U17's were County Champions
We try to keep all parents informed and all the newsletters, normally handed out at the Thursday coaching sessions will be available to download from
here, as well as registration forms
